Kaizen

The logo's two characters make up the japanese word 'kaizen' meaning change (kai) and good (zen). This roughly translates as 'improvement' or 'a change for the better.'

It yet holds a deeper meaning and can be described as a continuous self development or refinement which will benefit the collective that the individual belongs too.

I have been involved in martial arts almost all of my life. The benefits and opportunities for growth that it has provided have been immeasurable and being able to see my students go through the same processes is incredibly rewarding. I still train regularly in multiple martial arts and have made friends for life in a very open and welcoming community. I now wish to build my own community that caters for all abilities and whether students wish to compete, learn how to defend themselves, or are just looking for a fun way to stay active and learn something new, they will all be welcome.
